Upgrading of the fascia on the Club House

The following photos show the progress of the upgrading of the fascia around the greenkeepers garage and the ladies changing room. Rain has now stopped play but a big well done to our new Estate Manager Dougie and his small band of helpers, Alan, Arthur and Bob.

Ladies League Presentation Match

On Monday 11 September Gateway Ladies hosted the Ladies Dover League Presentation Match and after an exciting game of bowls all the teams enjoyed a lovely meal. The winners of the afternoon were St. Margarets with River coming second. Well done to Canterbury as winners of the League and Aylesham losing by just one point.

Thanks must go to Sue Scott, Gateway ladies league rep, Janet Hudson and her team for the meal and Bob Scott and his merry team of helpers. Without all of these people the event would never have happened. We would also like to thank the ladies who run the League.

Coronation Cup

Gateway held their annual Open Triples on Saturday 20 August. After a very full day the final was between Ann Goldsmith, Paul Cooke and John Broome from Kearsney and Chris Fearn, Rod Bacon and Bob Norman from Victoria Park, with Kearsney edging to a very close final. Well done to all the finalists and to Geraldine, Bob and all the Gateway volunteers.
